My name is Bjarne Drews. I live in Copenhagen. I was born on the 13th of january 1955. In school my favourite things were history and drawing. In my youth i vollunteered as a free worker when Selsø Slot (a mannorhouse) was remade into a museum. It was here i started to have an interrest for  the history of costumes. I studyed at a design school in Copenhagen for 4 years where i learned costume making. My graduation was costumes made for some renaissance dansers. I always had a special interrest for 18th century costumes, and i have since 1992 specialised in this era. I am a member of the swedish society called Gustavs Skål, http://www.gustafsskal.nu/ who cellebrates the time of Gustav III and i also join the german Lumieres when they have events.http://www.lumieres.de/ Some of my costumes are exhibitted at Selsø Slot and also Gammel Estrup in Jutland http://www.gammelestrup.dk/. Embroidery takes up nearly all my sparetime, and i love to embellish the costumes i make with that.

My daily living i earn my bread by taking care of old people in Hvidovre, here i work for the community.
